When working with parents, I review current eating/feeding habits, help with menu and meal planning, introduce/support DOR, etc.
I work with body image and food relationship issues using a non-diet approach in order to make more space and energy for desires and what is important in anyone’s life.
Based in London, Ontario, change.creates.change is a nutrition counseling service delivered by Registered Dietitians who specialize in disordered eating & eating disorders. We use a non-diet approach to health and operate from a Health At Every Size philosophy. Our goal is to work with clients and their families to create change in their current routines that lead to a more nourishing and fulfilling life. In addition to individual nutrition counseling, we offer grocery store tours and meal support therapy sessions.
I work with individuals, parents, caregivers, and families to help them navigate how to create a better relationship with food for them or the children in their care. This includes discussing feeding dynamics, nutritional needs, and answering any questions parents may have. I see clients in person in Toronto, and offer virtual sessions for people in Ontario, Canada.
I have nearly a decade of experience in nutrition counselling and I specialize in disordered eating and body image healing. Instead of following rigid diet rules that often lead to guilt with eating, I guide individuals to tune into their inner hunger and fullness cues. I take the time to explore the body’s experience as I believe that the body is a source of wisdom that needs to be understood. My work involves a combination of mindfulness, movement, and self compassion. This practice of gentle awareness fosters flexibility with eating and moves individuals towards body image healing.
I help my clients to shift from the diet-oriented mindset towards building trust in their bodies and restoring their relationship with food.
