Diane Summers, RDN, CEDRD-S, CD
I work with folks from a relational, psychodynamic, trauma and social justice informed approach. The healing process is much like what happens in regular therapy, however, we are focused specifically on the relationship to food and the body. I join parents in exploring their own relationship to food and their bodies, in order for their healing to bring about a peaceful and trust-based approach to food with their children. My framework is based in HAES(R), intuitive eating, and Ellyn Satter’s eating competence model, all of which are backed by significant research. My heart is to help adults find freedom so the younger generation can, in turn, be free.
