Hi, I'm Lucy! I'm a licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist in Chicago, IL, specializing in disordered eating, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I work with adults 18 and older, and with lived eating disorder experience of my own, I understand firsthand how deeply diet culture can shape a person's relationship with food and their body. I'm passionate about helping clients, and the parents who support them, move away from those harmful ideals toward genuine self-acceptance.
My background includes work at inpatient and PHP/IOP levels of care, where I've supported individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and identities through some of the hardest parts of recovery. I also work directly with parents as part of the treatment process, helping families understand what their loved one is going through and how to offer support that actually helps. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and grounded in collaboration, creating a space where clients and their families feel safe to be honest, ask questions, and grow. As a Health At Every Size informed clinician, I take a weight-inclusive, anti-diet approach, walking alongside my clients as they build insight, confidence, and a peaceful relationship with themselves. I also believe healing is holistic, so my work includes examining how weight bias, racism, sexism, ableism, and other forms of oppression can show up in a person's relationship with food and body, and helping validate the ways clients have adapted to survive in a culture that wasn't built with their wellbeing in mind.
I draw from several evidence-based modalities, including DBT, ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Feminist Theory, tailoring my approach to each client's unique needs and pace. I offer both in-person sessions in Chicago and virtual therapy across Illinois.
