I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specialized in eating disorders and have worked at higher level of care for 8 years. I seek to foster personal empowerment toward values-driven action through counseling and psycho-education in both secular and church-related settings. My Christian faith is foundational to my personal and professional life, and my passion is to build on the bridge between psychology and Christian theology.
I see counseling as an opportunity for growth and healing which everyone deserves and can benefit from, no matter the issue. I view my role as a compassionate presence to come along-side and guide you in your own unique healing journey. I help my clients feel deeply understood and safe to make courageous change. While I draw from a variety of methods in order to provide individualize care, I primarily utilize a blend of ACT and CBT approaches: I love to assist clients in finding clarity, identify personal values, build motivation, and take the next step toward wholeness.
I am experienced working with individuals, groups, and families. In addition to specializing in eating disorders of all types, I am also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma, Trauma-focused CBT, Exposure Therapy for OCD, Radically Open DBT, Emotion-focused Family Therapy, and Gender and Religious Identity Therapy.
