I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help individuals challenge and reframe negative thoughts about food and body image. I operate from a Health at Every Size and anti diet standpoint. My style in session is relaxed and supportive.

I provide individual therapy in person and virtually. Virtual sessions are conducted using a secure, HIPAA compliant software platform and are a great option when access to providers is limited, there are transportation barriers, or more flexible scheduling is helpful. I utilize an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach which focuses on identifying/clarifying values, exploring thoughts, developing mindfulness, and cultivating self compassion in order to move towards a valued life. Rather than living in accordance with the eating disorders values, clients reconnect with who they really are. I strongly ascribe to a HAES philosophy and utilize intuitive eating principals when clinically appropriate. I highly value a team approach including parents/family. Parents are valuable members of the treatment team. I strive to provide parents with psychoeducation, support, and open communication so that they can support their childs recovery.
