Taylor Seegmiller, LMSW
I work from an anti-diet, HAES approach, and feel that people can begin to find wholeness and healing when they begin to engage in connected and healthy relationships first of which start with one's self. I work alongside other health care providers including RDs, and Nutritionists if necessary to create a cohesive treatment plan for individuals that I work with while incorporating various therapeutic modalities that best suit the needs of the individuals.

The Eating Disorder Center
We use evidence-based treatment methods, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and modified family-based treatment (FBT). We pride ourselves on being action-oriented therapists, setting recovery goals, and doing exposures with clients, such as eating meals or snacks together. We value collaboration with other local eating disorder treatment providers, including dietitians, psychiatrists, and physicians. We are thankful to have helped many people to recover from eating disorders and body hatred.

Valerie Dunn, LPC-Associate, NCC
Sometimes, life is hard, and it just doesn't seem to get easier. Valerie Dunn works with clients to relieve some of the things that make life so tough. She specializes in working with teenagers and adults navigating disordered eating/eating disorders, body dysmorphia, agoraphobia, and OCD, as well as trauma, depression and grief. She also enjoys working with young adults navigating career and lifestyle changes or decisions.
Valerie believes everyone deserves a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to discuss their lives, both the wins and the letdowns. During sessions, you can expect an attentive ear, thoughtful questions, evidence-based treatment, and empowerment (plus a few laughs!). She will hone in on your goals and what inhibits your achievement of them, brainstorm actions you can take, and identify thoughts to challenge—both in your past and present—in order to create the future you want.
One of Valerie’s core beliefs is best expressed by the saying, “We cannot shame ourselves into change, only love ourselves into evolution.” Valerie is here to meet you where you are, show you where you can go, and be by your side every step of the way.
Valerie received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Texas. She is trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral T.
