I just want to hold space for you here for a moment. Take a deep breath. Give yourself credit for making it this far. Think about how brave it is to care enough about yourself to be here and to be willing to learn something new.
I’m a therapist and coach with 20 years of combined experience in trauma therapy, family and group counseling, child welfare, social work, nonprofit leadership, and disordered eating. I’m trained and skilled in Health at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating, Body Trust®, Internal Family Systems, and I'm in the process of obtaining my certification in Body Trust®.
I also have lived experience as a fat woman, a mother of two daughters, and a person living with and recovering from anxiety, disordered eating, body image struggles, and grief and loss. I’m also an all-season hiker and travel-loving vegetarian foodie who is always on the hunt for the best pizza around.
Like you, I used to think that once I was in a smaller body, I would finally start to feel happy. I was desperately waiting for my life to begin – until I learned to change my mind about what was possible for me, exactly as I am. Now, it’s my passion to help you experience the same thing. We all have stuff to work through, and none of us can do it alone. You already have what you need to get to where you want to be – let me guide you through uncovering it.

Sandor Lovas
Hi there, I’m Sandor Lovas — a CCI (Carolyn Costin Institute) Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach and one of the few male ED recovery coaches in this field. Having fully recovered from an eating disorder myself, I’m here to raise awareness, offer guidance, and provide structure for your recovery journey. My mission is to help clients regain control over their relationship with food, their body, and themselves in a way that is empathetic, practical, and tailored to their unique needs.
I developed an eating disorder in my early twenties that went undiagnosed and untreated until my late twenties. Fully recovering gave me a new perspective on life and inspired me to help others achieve the same healing. This led me to enroll in Carolyn Costin’s recovery coach training course. Beyond helping others, this journey brings meaning to my own experiences and allows me to pursue a career that feels fulfilling and truly purposeful.
Eating disorder recovery is deeply personal and can feel overwhelming. My coaching focuses on building up your Healthy Self so it can gradually take over the role that your eating disorder currently plays. Every session is designed to be judgment-free, supportive, and rooted in real-world recovery strategies.
In addition to weekly sessions, I accompany clients in practical, everyday situations where therapists usually do not go. This includes grocery shopping, cooking meals at home, eating together virtually or at restaurants, challenging fear foods, buying new clothes, attending dance or yoga classes, or participating in social events where they feel too self-conscious to engage.
One of the hallmarks of coaching is the ongoing text support between sessions—something you usually don’t get with other members of your treatment team. This gives you a way to reach out instantly when you need encouragement, guidance, or simply a reminder that you’re not alone.
I work with clients across the UK, the US, and Europe, providing a safe and LGBTQ+-friendly space for recovery. You deserve full recovery, and I hope I can help you get there!

The Eating Disorder Center
We use evidence-based treatment methods, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and modified family-based treatment (FBT). We pride ourselves on being action-oriented therapists, setting recovery goals, and doing exposures with clients, such as eating meals or snacks together. We value collaboration with other local eating disorder treatment providers, including dietitians, psychiatrists, and physicians. We are thankful to have helped many people to recover from eating disorders and body hatred.
