Allison Topilow, MS, RDN, CDN, CEDS-C
Hi! I’m Allison, a private practice nutritionist in New Jersey. I specialize in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders, intuitive eating, and family nutrition. I can provide you with the necessary nutrition knowledge, support and motivation to nourish your body and develop a more healthful relationship with food and movement. We will work together in a nonjudgmental environment to learn how to listen to your physical hunger and fullness. Our sessions will help you learn to eat mindfully and intuitively so you’ll never diet again.
If you are looking to help your child or teen, I provide parent support to help prevent eating disorders or work through the recovery process. I look forward to the opportunity to work together.
Karin Kaplan Grumet, RD, CEDRD
I am Karin Kaplan Grumet, the founder of KKG NUTRITION in Summit NJ. I am passionate about prevention and treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating and open my doors to anyone seeking freedom from food obsessions and diet mentality. I have been specializing in these areas for the past 20+ years and am eager to share my knowledge of intuitive eating and positive body image with all of my clients. I come from a non diet, health at every size approach to nutrition therapy and look forward to guiding clients away from diet culture.
During the pandemic, I wrote a children's book called. I AM ME! about self acceptance, not comparing yourself to others and loving yourself and your uniqueness. It was written with the intent of starting the discussion of self love and body appreciation at an early age and understanding that the "ideal" does not always lead to joy and happiness. Written with a whimsical rhyme and a lot of reason, I am hopeful it will decrease the diet culture and body dissatisfaction in our world and embrace self love, body love and kindness. We can all use a little bit of that.
Katie Hawkins MS, RDN
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator based in New Jersey. I specialize in providing medical nutrition therapy for individuals who have eating disorders or disordered eating. I am thrilled to support those who may not have a diagnosed eating disorder but feel unhappy in their current relationships with food, body and movement/exercise.
I am an anti- diet dietitian. This means I don’t prescribe diets unless you have a medical condition that requires specific medical nutrition therapy. If you do have a medical condition, I know how challenging it can be to maintain a positive relationship with food and your body while honoring your health and medical needs. I would love to help you navigate these challenges. I practice with a weight inclusive, Health At Every Size® approach. This means I care about the lived experiences you have had as a human with a body. I believe in nurturing a client’s inner wisdom and intuitive eating instincts. I am here to help you navigate a world rooted in diet culture.
I believe in you and I believe in your journey- whatever that looks like. I believe in recovery. With openness, education, kindness and support I believe you can achieve the freedom, confidence and peace you deserve to eat intuitively, move your body in a way that feels good and participate in your life to the fullest extent of your ability.
In my free time, I am an avid gardener and plant lady. I also love to read, travel, and experience new places, cultures and people- especially through food! I spend a good deal of time playing with my German Shepherd dogs.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Ohio University. I then went on to obtain my Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science followed by completing a required dietetic internship with Nutrition Ink. I initially began my career as a dietitian working in endocrinology, working with individuals diagnosed with various endocrine conditions. I primarily worked with individuals diagnosed with Diabetes, both types 1 and 2 to navigate blood sugar management.
I then went on to discover my passion in working with eating disorders and disordered eating. I have several years experience working at the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient levels of care for eating disorder treatment as the Lead Dietitian. I have supported both adolescents and adults from a diverse set of backgrounds and lived experiences on their recovery journey. I am also a licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator through The Body Positive.
Lexie D'Adamo, MS RD
My approach to nutrition counseling is centered around building trust and understanding of each client’s unique needs to ensure they receive the best care possible in their path towards recovery. I became a dietitian because of my love for food and genuine human connection. When working with me, you can expect a judgement-free, empathetic, and safe space to support you in developing a better relationship with food and your body.Â
I work with individual clients and their support systems, including other treatment team providers, families, school staff, and loved ones, to ensure my clients are receiving the support they need in their recovery journey. I provide nutrition counseling and education services, including meal planning and support, recipes, and grocery shopping tips to help clients and their parents learn how to adequately nourish themselves and foster a more positive relationship with food and their bodies. While my approach is individualized to meet each client's unique needs, there are numerous principles that have set the foundation for my practice, including weight inclusivity, Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating. This involves a flexible, kind way of choosing what to eat and when, without guilt, shame or restrictions, ultimately improving your relationship with food.
