Leah Hackney, RD, CSP, LD
I would approach a family with individualized goal setting and also with a weight-inclusive HAES approach to nutrition. I would make sure I am getting the full picture of each families situation, and provide recommendations that are appropriate, realistic, and achievable with each family.

Libby Bloom, RDN
Libby specializes in nutrition therapy that supports healing from disordered eating and body image distress through an individualized, compassionate, and justice-informed approach. Rooted in the principles of Intuitive Eating and the Health at Every Size framework, her work centers autonomy, compassion, and the belief that all bodies are worthy of care.
In her practice, Libby helps people move away from the harms of diet culture and toward a more peaceful and embodied relationship with food and body. She creates a supportive, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and careat a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Depending on each clients needs, sessions may include working with hunger and fullness cues, untangling rigid food rules, supporting nervous system regulation, or challenging internalized weight stigma. Her approach is collaborative and consent-based, always guided by each persons values, identities, and lived experience.
Libby works with individuals across the spectrum of disordered eating, including those who dont meet diagnostic criteria but feel stuck in cycles of guilt, restriction, or body shame. She affirms LGBTQ+ identities, honors neurodivergent ways of being, and practices from a trauma-informed, fat-positive lens. She is especially mindful of the broader systemslike fatphobia, healthism, and ableismthat shape our relationships with food and body.
Through The Crooked Carrot, Libby partners with clients to reduce shame, expand flexibility, and support nourishment that feels goodphysically, mentally, and emotionally. She regularly collaborates with therapists, physicians, and other care providers to support integrated, whole-person healing.

Areas of specialization include disordered eating across age and gender identities, nutritional healing following gastric surgeries, weight-neutral interventions for diabetes and PCOS, food aversions, food-related trauma, and exposure therapy. Mary Pate-Bennett, MS, RD, LDN, CLC
My approach is to assume that the parent is the expert on their child. My role is to be an outside perspective on what is working and not working and to provide ideas to make changes that can help parent and child get to the outcome they desire.

Megan Connolly, MS, RD
I provide outpatient Telehealth nutrition counseling to adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders or disordered eating. During the first phase of nutrition care, I work with clients (and/or their caregivers) to create an individually-tailored meal plan and eating pattern that meets their nutritional needs and promotes physiological stabilization. Once clients are more stable in their recovery, we work on adding variety and flexibility to their food choices, ensuring they are comfortable eating in most or all environments and situations. Eventually, we explore the principles of Intuitive Eating, and discuss how to develop and maintain sustainable, health-promoting lifestyle behaviors that fully align with eating disorder recovery.
Throughout my career, I have worked in all levels of eating disorder treatment (residential, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient), providing nutrition counseling to adolescents and adults of all ages. In my private practice, I utilize a combination of treatment modalities (DBT, exposure and response prevention, meal support) in addition to medical nutrition therapy for eating disorders. I am comfortable providing family based treatment (FBT) as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. I'm also comfortable working with clients who have co-occurring mental health conditions. I am passionate about helping people to heal their relationships with food and their bodies!
Meghan Cichy, RDN, CEDRD, CD
When working with parents, I utilize a mixture of Ellyn Satter's DOR and Intuitive eating. I address the parents' own relationship with food/body with these models and support them in building more DOR oriented systems/structures into their family dynamics around food.
