If a parent is concerned about their child's weight, I first listen to their concerns and ask a lot of questions -- both about the child and the home environment. We discuss ways that the parent can support and help their child grow up in their body free from shame and guilt. I emphasize how important it is to continue to allow children to be the intuitive eaters they were born as-- without any restriction on portion size, type of food, etc.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator based in New Jersey. I specialize in providing medical nutrition therapy for individuals who have eating disorders or disordered eating. I am thrilled to support those who may not have a diagnosed eating disorder but feel unhappy in their current relationships with food, body and movement/exercise.

I am an anti- diet dietitian. This means I don’t prescribe diets unless you have a medical condition that requires specific medical nutrition therapy. If you do have a medical condition, I know how challenging it can be to maintain a positive relationship with food and your body while honoring your health and medical needs. I would love to help you navigate these challenges. I practice with a weight inclusive, Health At Every Size® approach. This means I care about the lived experiences you have had as a human with a body. I believe in nurturing a client’s inner wisdom and intuitive eating instincts. I am here to help you navigate a world rooted in diet culture.

In my free time, I am an avid gardener and plant lady. I also love to read, travel, and experience new places, cultures and people- especially through food! I spend a good deal of time playing with my German Shepherd dogs.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Ohio University. I then went on to obtain my Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science followed by completing a required dietetic internship with Nutrition Ink. I initially began my career as a dietitian working in endocrinology, working with individuals diagnosed with various endocrine conditions. I primarily worked with individuals diagnosed with Diabetes, both types 1 and 2 to navigate blood sugar management.

I then went on to discover my passion in working with eating disorders and disordered eating. I have several years experience working at the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient levels of care for eating disorder treatment as the Lead Dietitian. I have supported both adolescents and adults from a diverse set of backgrounds and lived experiences on their recovery journey. I am also a licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator through The Body Positive.

Kellan deeply values the intrinsic knowledge that each person holds about their own body, and she works to acknowledge both the personal and structural influences on each person’s relationship with food and their body.

She applies a transformative blend of scientific research, practical application, and social justice advocacy to facilitate food freedom and radical body acceptance for her patients.

I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, OSFED, ARFID) and disordered eating (such as chronic dieting, compulsive overeating, emotional eating, etc).

I know my clients are so much MORE than their eating disorder/disordered eating and I love helping them visualize and achieve their potential. My ideal client is ready to make changes to improve their life, have more freedom with food, and learn to embrace and love their body. All are welcome here. I am an anti-diet dietitian because my philosophy is based on the principles of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size. I firmly believe that all foods can fit and true health can be achieved at any body size. I work one-on-one with my clients through HIPPA-approved videoconferencing, so my clients can meet with me from the comfort of their homes.

I work alongside psychologists, psychiatrists and other health professionals to help people with eating disorders. I also work with people who are trying to repair their difficult relationship with food.

Helping people repair their relationship with food is why I do this work. Science guides what I recommend, and your life guides how we use it. I combine evidence-based strategies with the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating and a HAES-aligned, weight-neutral lens so we focus on behaviors and wellbeing rather than the scale. We'll work together in a warm, nonjudgmental way, translating research into clear, practical steps you can sustain. Education and accountability are part of the process, so you'll gain tools and understanding that help create long-term, realistic change.

I have been working in the field of eating disorders for over 20 years. Using a non-diet Health at Every Size approach, I help individuals heal their relationship with food and their body. I am passionate about meeting a person where they are at in the process of learning and making a change. I work with individuals (and families) of all ages with any form of disordered eating or eating disorders including athletes and chronic dieters. My approach to supporting parents or a loved one is through a combination of education, empathy, and non-judgment.

Lindsay’s formal education defines her as a Registered Dietitian, but she prefers to identify as a health activist. Lindsay is committed to undoing the dehumanizing and fatphobic legacy of diet culture and traditional dietetics. She strives to work in partnership with her clients to help clarify an authentic and intuitive sense of their own ideas of health, nourishment, and recovery. Areas of specialization include disordered eating across age and gender identities, nutritional healing following gastric surgeries, weight-neutral interventions for diabetes and PCOS, food aversions, food-related trauma, and exposure therapy. Lindsay’s therapeutic style is marked by a suspicion for judgement and generalizations, and a respect for the power of curiosity, empathy, and humor to bring out the healthiest parts of ourselves.
