Elizabeth Gullaher, RD, MHSc
My approach is very much individualized based on the person who is struggling with the ED, especially with adults - what works for one person, may not work for another (for example, the use of a meal plan or not). For kids, typically first follow and encourage an FBT/Maudsley Approach for treatment, supporting the child and/or the parents as needed. Over time I help the child reestablish some independence in their food preparation and intake, and transition back to intuitive eating.

Erica Leon, MS, RD, CEDRD
Erica Leon Nutrition has three dietitians. We all BELIEVE OUR BODIES ARE A GIFT AND WE CAN work towards healthy behaviors at every size. We support parents in helping their children recover from all types of eating disorders and honor the family as the first line treatment provider. We also work with children, teens and adults with ALL types of disordered eating. We use an intuitive eating model, but also recognize that most individuals struggling with an eating disorder need prescriptive meal plans. We always work in a team with a physician and therapist (at the minimum).
